We first met Sarah and Douglas three years when looking for a horse for our son and we bought Flynn from them. Douglas knew from the first that Matt and Flynn were well matched and indeed that has been the case.
With help Sarah helping with flatwork and Douglas with jumping, they've gone from strength to strength in terms of wins, most recently being reserve champions in the Pony club individual class and Royal Windsor Horse Show.
I also moved my dressage horse, Sirius to their yard 18 months ago and Sarah has given me lots of help with him. My dressage trainer, Beverley Brightman can't believe how much he has improved in condition and attitude in that time. She is full of praise for Sarah and Douglas and what they have achieved with Sirius
And more recently we bought half shares in 2 of their home bred 4 year olds - Ava and Austin and we're looking forward much success with them in the future
A great team to work with!

Narg, Chico, Alaska, Lala and Coco .. in that order:
I moved to North Brook End Stud at the end of October 2008 with my then 18 year old
trusted steed Narg, a Belgian warmblood. For the first time I felt my horse was in
the care of genuinely professional people. Narg soon started to appear younger and
fitter. I am pleased to say that although he's now 20, he does not look or act his
age.
My young horse Chico is now progressing through his dressage training in a most impressive way, and we hope to collect a few red rosettes this summer in affiliated competitions.
Alaska, Narg's young half sister in Holland came up for sale I had wanted Alaska since she was a foal for sentimental reasons. I then gave in to a dream of many years and decided to breed from her, but I didn't want to stop there... Lala who I brought from Douglas has already bred some stunningfoals and she is soon to give birth to a foal by the resident and handsome stallionTemple Claudius.
Coco is the youngest. It was her sire,Björsells Briar, Douglas is now gently breaking her in for me and so far she's been anabsolute delight.
If it wasn't for Sarah's and Douglas' knowledge, support and help, this dream to
breed would never have become reality. I am very excited and extremely grateful and
I look forward to foals by Master, Ampere and Diamonit in 2011
Cottage Prince
We are the home to Cottage Prince. He was imported from Ireland as a three year old and was aptly named "Smartie Pants".
Produced in his early years by Douglas and now ridden by Nigel Coupe, they are now successfully competing in AIT's and Grand Prix.
We hope that Nigel will be able to follow his success with some of our young stock in the future.

"Last summer I went to camp with Sarah at North Brook End. It was my horse's first stay away from home and I was filled with trepidation about how we'd both manage. But I needn't have worried - Sarah,
Douglas and the team at NBE made us feel so welcome it was easy to settle in quickly. Each day comprised lessons in flatwork and jumping, but there was no pressure to do what you weren't happy to do.
One afternoon was a trip to the National Stud at Newmarket, which was enjoyed by all. I came away having learnt a lot from quality tuition, great company, good food and a calm atmosphere and straightaway signed up for this year !
Definitely to be recommended."
Sparky – Sparks Will Fly
We bought Sparky from Sarah and Douglas 7 years ago – and he has been the best equine bargain ever. Who would have thought that this little (15hh) Irish ‘no-name brand’ would take his jockey to national finals for Pony Club (Combined Training Champions), British Eventing and British Dressage? Douglas has a superb eye for a horse – he knew that Spark had talent as well as looks – and Sarah helped Sara get to grips with him (after a somewhat troubled early start!). Spark has given Sara so much invaluable experience – we have photographs of them jumping in front of both Badminton House (Grassroots National 2010) and Burghley House (Pony Club show jumping at Burghley Horse Trails 2008 and 2009).
Altogether, we have had three absolutely wonderful Irish horses from North Brook End: Sparky, Captain Jack Sparrow (now being very successful with another young jockey) and Master Musick (very successful at BD and BE – we have high hopes for him). And through both Sarah and Douglas we have learned (and are still learning) a huge amount about young horses.
Thank you, Sarah and Douglas!

Edd and Ollie
"We bought Edward from Douglas as a 6 year old. Since then he has gone far, competing successfully from local shows all the way up to national level with the pony and riding clubs. He is a fabulous pony who has a very strong character and has earned a permanent place in our family."
"Ollie was bought from Douglas as a 7 year old, with his laid back and trainable attitude, he has improved hugely with his flat work and his jumping and will jump anything you put in front of him. He is a straight forward little horse who will do anything you ask."
Abs & Fergal
"This is my horse Fergal and I. I keep my horse at North Brook End Stud and bought him from Sarah and Douglas. I have progressed in my abilities from being a nervous rider to going out competing and being placed. We have competed at Gosling cup, Bloom cup and been placed 3rd at a hunter trial at Ely." Abby
